We had a fantastic meal at this cosy little family run restaurant. Enjoy dining at communal tables & sharing stories with other travellers. The menu focuses on seasonal produce & what the local fisherman has snared in his most recent catch. Food is very fresh & imaginative with delightful service. Highly recommended!

I would like to thank Jeanette for going above and beyond to provide us with The Most Delicious dinner we ever had! Jeanette prepared and delivered seafood platter to the cottage where we were staying on my birthday. The food tasted out of this world-delicious! Served with homemade bread and salad all were just heavenly scrumptious. As we were just saying goodbye to Jeanette the cottage had a power cut and this lovely lady walked home and brought us some candles so we could have our dinner while it was still hot. We had the best experience visiting Isle of Mull and the best food provided by Jeanette at Ballygown Restaurant. Thank you, thank you, thank you.????????????????????????

We love it. Consistently delicious food, very good value and BYOB. In a remote setting on the West Coast of Mull. Just one point to manage your expectations - this is basically in the owners' front sitting room so please just manage your expectations that's it's not a plush purpose-built restaurant. If you like that sort of thing it's perfect. You need to book ahead in the peak summer season.

A very small but excellent restaurant. There are only 4 tables with one seating for the night. You MUST book a reservation! The food was excellent. We happened to be seated next to a young couple and had an amazing time chatting with them. The food was extremely fresh and portions were generous. We both had the smoked haddock chowder for start. I had the venison and she had the roasted tomato/basil risotto. For dessert we had sticky toffee pudding and warm raspberry chocolate brownie. It was a very relaxed environment with no worries about being rushed. I couldn't recommend it more!

Love this restaurant run by Jennette, who cooks washes up serves you and still finds time to chat. She runs the business from her house so you feel like you are invited to dinner in a home. Usually there is two menus. Meat and a vegetarian option. Fresh fish can usually be found on the menu but she can't tell you what you are going to have until the fish has landed. The meat menu also depends on the cuts she can get on the day. Whatever you chose it is bound to be delicious and fresh.

We enjoyed a delicious meal in a cosy & relaxed setting. Excellent fresh seafood & a fabulous Haggis. We wanted to return for our last meal on the Island but sadly couldn't get a table.

Seems like the restaurant did not survive the pandemic, but it’s now an excellent morning goods bakery. Yum!
